A powerhouse family of athletic talent, Sabrina Greenlee ran track and won homecoming court alongside her brother Terry Smith. Terry, a Clemson University football star, was a wide receiver at D.W. Daniel High, catching passes from his cousin, quarterback Louis Austin and excelling in basketball and track. His niece, Kesha “Smitty” Smith, was one of the first girls to play football at Central/Clemson Recreation, later excelling in basketball at Daniel before playing at Oak Hill Academy and Southern Wesleyan University. Marcus Greenlee or “MG” brought unmatched athleticism, with a smooth, quiet strength reminiscent of his uncle Terry. DeAndre “Nuk” Hopkins, broke his uncle Terry’s records for career receiving yards and touchdowns at Clemson before being drafted 27th in the 2013 NFL Draft. Shanterria “Shannie” Cobb added versatility, playing any position from 1 to 5 on the court and later competing at Texas Southern University. Together they embody resilience, unity and excellence each adding unique flair to the game and building upon the family legacy.
